Press: Mel Jones to be 'The Enchantress' in New Dinner Cirque Show, ‘Enchanted’

Mel Jones will join the stunning cast of Enchanted, a thrilling new international cirque production that opens on 7 September in the mirror palace next to the Cape Town Stadium. As The Enchantress, Mel will host the show that will present some of the world's finest entertainment artists to Cape Town audiences until mid October 2017.

Mel Jones is a mother, comedian, award nominated producer and an energetic MC. You may have heard her on the radio as co-presenter of a very popular morning show, seen her on SABC3's Comedy Showcase, the Phat Joe show, the King Size Comedy Tour, the Blacks Only Comedy Show, Mind The Gap, The Heavyweight Comedy Jam, Kings & Queens of Comedy, the critically acclaimed comedy & sketch show, Bitches, Comedy Central and she is hugely popular as a corporate comedian and MC.

The super star acts that are lined up include crossbow contortionist and silk artist Orissa Kelly, Piky Pokus from Argentina, cloud swing and hoop artist Tom McKinnon, laser and bubble magic man Thomas Favaro, aerial acrobats and many more. The magic unfolds the moment glamorous guests step inside the opulent venue where the sensational performance awaits.

Enchanted is proudly supported by KFM94.5 and will be presented from 7 September 2017 to mid October 2017 for a limited season on P3 parking in Green Point, in front of the Cape Town Stadium (behind McDonald’s).

Performances are Wednesday to Friday at 8pm, Saturday at 3pm and 8pm and Sunday at 5pm. Tickets cost from R250 for access to the cirque theatre show and the fabulously fun after party.
