Two sets of parents get together to sort out a playground altercation between their 11 year old sons involving a stick and a broken tooth. Do they resolve things in a mature and adult way? Well they try, but their attempts at a civilized discussion fail dismally as decorum flies out the window and primal self- preservation kicks in.

This fast and furious adult (16+) comedy is both brutal and hilarious and is performed by a cast of highly talented actors (Brian Notcutt, Ceridwen Morris, Kirsty Cunnington and Patrick Jordi), who bring to life the well-meaning parents we can so readily identify with.

The God of Carnage is written by Yasmina Reza and brilliantly translated from French by Christopher Hampton and is a winner of both a Tony and an Olivier Award.

The Tony Award winning play is directed by Coleen van Staden, for Circle Productions and produced by special arrangement with Samuel French Ltd. Coleen has a long association with the Masque Theatre and whose recent successes include Under Milk Wood and Mpinga Mornings - Rosebank Theatre, Kalk Bay Theatre and Grahamstown Festival 2016.

Five Performances only at the Masque Theatre, Muizenberg, on Wed 22, Thurs 23, Fri 24 June at 20h00 and Sat 25 June at 14h30 and 18h30. Tickets are R80.
