Multi-award winning Follow Spot Productions are staging their finest choreography at the Kalk Bay Theatre in a new season of Another Day (17 February - 7 March 2015), their first full-scale dance production. After a sell-out run at the 2014 National Arts Festival in Grahamstown, this nouveau love story provides a colourful bouquet of captivating dance styles blended in an unusual and affecting manner with live song.

The production features Ash Searle – owner of the Kalk Bay Theatre and Follow Spot Productions, and star of the hit shows Big Boys, Love at First Fight, and Exposed – and Brad Searle, his Big Boys partner-in-crime. It also showcases the fabulous singing talent of Lucy Tops (Absolucy, Stealing the Show: Bette Midler and Bar None), and introduces new additions to the Follow Spot family - Nadine Theron from the television series So You Think You Can Dance, Ruby Burton a dancer/singer star on the rise who has performed on the international dance stage, Darren Greeff a Bovim Ballet principal and ex-cat, and last but not least, Pasha Dos Santos, the hidden gem. Another Day sees the realisation of Ash and Vanessa’s lifelong dream to create fully-fledged dance theatre. Conceptualised and choreographed by the dynamo Follow Spot couple, the show takes one on an extraordinary (and always entertaining) journey into the joys and trials of love and marriage. When a relationship starts with passion and lust, and after time dwindles into a shadow of its former glory, who is to blame? Or is it just the natural damage of time? Should you walk away, or should you try to re-ignite the flame? Nothing is simple or straightforward as the action moves from spectacular emotive duets to dazzling ensemble pieces. This is a gripping story that will leave its audiences deliberating on its meaning long after the final curtain has fallen. Tickets are priced at R120, except on Tuesdays when two can be bought for the price of one. They are on sale at www.kalkbaytheatre.co.za or may be booked by phoning 079 361 8275.
