Press Release: College of Magic to Welcome Budding Capetonian Wizards in 2014

Budding wizards from around the Mother City are invited to learn the art of magic at the world-renowned College of Magic, Cape Town’s only magical arts organisation, in Claremont from Saturday 1 February, 2014.

Following a successful summer magic tour at the V&A Waterfront where graduates and students of the College of Magic dazzled parents and their children alike, and thrilled visiting tourists, with breathtaking illusions, the College looks forward to welcoming aspirant Houdinis to its mystical premises and introducing them to a wondrous new way of learning.

A world of mystery awaits your burgeoning magician as the entry level course one, suitable for learners aged 10 to 13 years old, gives them a taste of rope magic, card tricks, coin effects and more. New students are also invited to enjoy any or all of the extra arts as part of their lessons. These include the fascinating skills of juggling, mime, clowning and puppetry.

The College of Magic, the only organisation of its kind in the world, has been training adults and children in the art of the magic and its allied arts since 1980.

There are limited spaces available for Course One, which will run at the College of Magic, 215 Lansdowne Road in Claremont each Saturday for six months from 1 February, 2014 with classes at 09h00 and at 12h00. Fees are R2 250 and include all course equipment and notes.
